When did the sky stop seeming close and became distant? The seasons blend together, light slips past buildings and does not enter. For three years I lived in a room without sunlight. To see the sky, I had to press myself against the window and look up. When I think about the future, I don’t imagine inventions or other benefits, but rather what could be taken away.

Not only the weather has changed. The sky feels watched, filled with drones and rockets marking lines of control. The horizon is no longer open, it has become blurred. I want to look up. To believe that the sky remembers how we once laid on the ground and named the shapes of the clouds. Perhaps resistance is just the gaze that refuses to look away.

Lie down and watch the sky spin!
